Looking for some romance, with a little mystery on the side? Yearning for a lighthearted, heartwarming summer read perfect for the beach, or getaway to your lake cabin? Check out “Pet Friendly” by Sue Pethick.
If a Hallmark movie had a baby with a Saturday morning episode of Scooby Doo, “Pet Friendly” would be the result.
Our story follows the exploits of mega-successful, app designer Todd, and the ever -lively pup Archie, which he adopts following his uncles death. Spurred on by his soon –to-be fiancés distaste for Archie, Todd starts off on an adventure to rehome Archie with his sister’s family. Without giving away the story, let’s just say things get interesting when you throw in a haunted Inn, and group of paranormal researchers and a childhood sweetheart of Todd, who just happens to be the Inn keeper.
Sometimes you just want a book about dogs that forgoes heavy discussions about training/heath and behavioral concerns. Pet Friendly will delight you, offering a pleasant escape from the ordinary. I give this book 3.5 out of 5 paws.
After reading Pet Friendly, be sure to get out enjoy a nice long walk with your dogs. They have been so patient while you were reading after all ;-) Oh, and don't forget to take along The Fifth Paw. The Fifth Paw is the premiere hands-free dog-poop carrier that gives you the freedom to fall in love with walking your dogs all over again! Enjoy the book.
